FSR Conference

How can robots be used in the construction of buildings, in agriculture or in mines? From 12 to 15 September 2017, international experts discussed the development of field and service robots at the "FSR 2017 - 11th Conference on Field and Service Robotics" at ETH Zurich.

Field robots are particularly suitable for use in an environment, which is difficult for humans to reach or is associated with health hazards, for example under water, underground or on other planets. The main field of application for service robots is the support of people. They can assist the elderly and sick in their everyday life.

The three-day conference was chaired by Marco Hutter and Roland Siegwart, ETH Professors at the Institute of Robotics and Intelligent Systems.
