Floating Robotics

At Floating Robotics, we build cable-driven floating robots that offer mobility and manipulation in large scales. Our robot brings cable winches inside and offers easy deployment and compactness. Cables can be taken out like a vacuum cleaner and installed on four poles within minutes. It can also work inside structured areas like greenhouses.

Compared to manipulators mounted on wheels, the suspension system easily eliminates the challenge of ground locomotion over inclined and uneven terrains. The robot can therefore operate over steep gardens and automate various labor-intensive tasks. It runs on solar power, operates untethered, and offers a daylong performance with a very competitive price.

The manipulator can reach plants from different perspectives; it sprays, cuts, or monitors, and carries products/tools around. The robot benefits from state-of-the-art control and AI algorithms. It can also host third-party gardening tools/services by offering mobility & manipulation, computation, and communication resources.
